To Sara, who at the tender age of two, lovingly named her blanket, “Diggle”. Diggles do lots of things. They make you laugh, they help you sing. A Diggle will love you both inside and out Will be at your side if you smile or pout. They wipe your tears when you are sad They get time-outs if they are bad. Diggles will go anywhere They’ll stay with you here; they’ll wait for you there. Some Diggles are dirty and some Diggles are clean And they love to take baths in the washing machine. A Diggle pretends to be a coat or a hat; A pillow to sleep or a picnic mat. A Diggle can make you feel big and strong Or can cuddle you tightly all night long. A Diggle will help you from feeling afraid. They cushion a fall from the steps that you’ve made. A Diggle will be your best friend and your buddy. Won’t mind spilled milk or getting really muddy. A Diggle so cozy will cuddle all snug And will never run out of a kiss or a hug. A Diggle will do lots of things, But the best one of all is the love that it brings.
