The Little Red Hen

Little Golden Book of The Little Red Hen

Little Golden Book of The Little Red Hen

The Little Red Hen was one of many books I loved as a child. I guess I was impressed with the red hen's determination.

She knew what needed to be done and every step of the way she gave the other barnyard animals a chance to redeem themselves. I always felt that she would have enjoyed her bread much better if she could have shared it with the other animals.

I learned that if you want something done and no one is willing to help, then very often you have to do it yourself. I also learned how being lazy can cause one to miss out on a lot.

I have two grandchildren and I wanted them to enjoy some of the books I enjoyed as a child. One of the first books I purchased on line for them was The Little Red Hen.
