Meet Sabine!

During the course of my travels around the world, I became acquainted with a variety of cultures and many unique personalities, rapidly expanding my growing imagination. I acquired an appreciation for art, emotion, adventure and unusual ideas. The experience taught me the importance of effective communication, and so developed my passion for literature, creative writing and reaching out to others.

However, my love for books dates back to childhood, thanks to Dr. Seuss, who is also greatly responsible for the growth of my intellectual curiosity. As Dr. Seuss said, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Books have played a major role in shaping who I am today. I received my bachelor's degree in English Literature from Sophia College for Women, Mumbai, and went on to participate in the creation of books by becoming an Editor for one of India's most prominent publishing houses - Jaico Publishing House.

Now, I am a freelance writer and editor and I hope to one day publish my own novel!

My favourite genres of literature are weird fiction, science fiction, children's fiction and adventure/fantasy. My list of literary guides is long, but those whose words have enchanted me the most include H. P. Lovecraft, Agatha Christie, Washington Irving, Victor Hugo and, as mentioned earlier, Dr. Seuss.

But that's not all there is to me! I love creating and sharing ideas; I am optimistic and funny; I love to make people happy; I make for a loyal friend, but I always speak my opinion; I am always up to something funky; I am true to myself and the ones I love; I absolutely adore animals and nature; music inspires me when I have writer's block; I've been a hardcore gamer since I was three years old, I still am, and always will be.
