Why should i take NO for an answer ?
It all started about 8 years ago, when my Father became ill.
i was 41 years old and wanted to do something special to let him know how special i felt about being his child.
so i wrote a small story about the excitement that happened the day my parents recieved the "phone call" that they had a little girl ready to be adopted............ "and baby makes a family"... it was really the story that he had repeated to me so many times.
the story is told through the eyes of our family puppy Leta.
my Father just loved it, but having to let go an illustrator, my Father died not ever seeing it print.
so then it became a project of passion in memory of my Parents!
i called upon a friend , Mr Hawk who was one of the first Terry Toones and Disney illustrators. he loved it and decided to work for me in this project. ( and all of them) i since have written 5 children's picture books and have 3 published with Xlibris. and currantly working on 2 more.
it has been very rewarding and yet frustrating experience. i have stuffed plush toys and tote bags as a great marketing set up. so now i just keep pounding the pavement. when it is supposed to happen... it will happen!!
until then.... i will just keep writing and knocking on doors.... one will open, i am sure.
