The Tale of Peter Rabbit

I was always an obedient child -- up to a certain age of course. I never liked getting punished. I always related with Flopsy and Mopsy. Peter's adventure was entertaining but I could never see myself deliberately disobeying my mother in that way.

Also there was something very comforting about having blackberries and cream before bed.

However looking back, I never could have guessed that I would have a son very much like Peter. It was one of the many books I read to him as a child. Perhaps it was Peter's adventure that appealed to him

It was also one of the first books I purchased for my grandaughter, who loved the story so much that before she could read, would recite it to me just by looking at the pictures.
