A palette of wonder...I mean, color.:)
My name is Taylor Mallatt and I am a young artist looking for a breakthrough. I am a student at Purdue University double majoring in Fine Arts/Art History.
When I was younger I used to draw little cartoon scenes of animals playing and such but as I got older photo-realism got a hold of me and I became obsessed with detail.
I began taking oil painting lessons when I was 12 and I haven't stopped since. I consider myself to be a painter; I have had several art teachers tell me that my work has a "painterly' quality.
I am most comfortable with oil paints but I also greatly enjoy water colors, colored pencil and acrylic and am equally proficient in all three mediums.
I have done a couple of illustrations for a children's book author named Diane Burks. I illustrated a poem for her that is in the middle of being published and I also illustrated a manual for her that is used nationally in institutions that work with rehabilitating disabled children through equine therapy.
I am an eager and crazily creative young artist who is ready and willing to take on any project. I would love to illustrate a children's book or any other work that you have. I am open to negotiate prices and would be more than willing to do sample sketches. The picture that I have posted is one of drawings that I did of " things I love". Thanks for your time. :)
