Professional Illustrator
by Amanda Boehm-Garcia
Unknowingly under examination
With a Masters of Fine Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree as well as years of experience illustrating, I can successfully deliver your project in a very professional as well as creative manner.
My areas of expertise vary from oil painting, watercolor painting, drawing mediums, and printmaking techniques. I have found that discussing the project with the author first to get the feel for which medium would best portray the ideas is essential.
I customarily provide each author with numerous sketches first to insure satisfaction before the final piece is realized.
It is also important to me to try to maintain a level of affordability and I am willing to work within anyone's budget, no matter how big or how small.

In Love with Painting

Children's Book Illustration by ninyanernel
Hi!
I have been in love with painting since I was a kid. It's all I've ever wanted to do (and also be a gardener :D).
What I like most with drawing is being able to transform into paper or whatever medium, whatever it is that swims or flies or lives in my mind.
I've done children's book illustration for a friend before, and totally loved it. I enjoyed the entire process, the conversion of words to images that children would love looking at. Because when I was a kid I didn't just love the stories that were told to me, I also get lost in the world shown to me by the illustrations. And that is exactly what I want to do - paint a world. I am Nina de Polonia (ninyanernel), Illustrator for hire. EmailArt Blog

I've been an artist since I first picked up a crayon, and I've never lost that childlike whimsy. I love creating fun, fantastic images for kids to enjoy, especially if it can be educational.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Northern Michigan University, where I received a vast knowledge and skill set from great instructors who are each professionals in their own field. I am very skilled with acrylic paints, oil paints, tempera paints, Adobe Photoshop, pen and ink, color pencil, graphite, charcoal, and much more, watercolor being my specialty. I am able to work in a few different styles, allowing me to fit any project perfectly, and I pride myself on making clean, beautiful works of art for each and every page or book cover. A collaboration between author and artist is essential to the success and satisfaction of both parties, so I encourage authors to keep in frequent contact with me as a project progresses. Your input and feedback are important to me! I will communicate well via email or over the telephone, as you prefer, and I always submit a few different thumbnail ideations for each page so you, the author, can choose the one which fits best with your ideas. As each project is unique in scope and scale, I encourage authors to contact me via email with a description of what you are looking for, approximate number of pages, and a loose time frame so that I can assess the needs of the project and estimate an appropriate fee. I will be happy to provide some sample sketches to help you decide whether or not I am able to meet (or exceed!) your expectations. Please visit my personal portfolio website, where you can view many examples of my work, contact me, and offer feedback. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email at brian.louis1@gmail.com. Thank you, Brian Louis Pomerantz
