Dr. Seuss's Book of Wonderful Noises

We'd be hard-pressed to find a parent on the planet who doesn't teach their toddler all the basic animal sounds.

"What sound does a cat make?"

Well, Dr. Seuss's Mr. Brown takes sounds to a new level. I mean, can you identify the following sounds?

• Blurp Blurp
• Dibble Dibble Dopp Dopp
• Grum Grum
• Sizzle Sizzle, and
• Pip?

You'll be able to once you share Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? with your young ones. Because of course:

• Blurp Blurp - the sound of a horn
• Dibble Dibble Dopp Dopp - the sound of the rain
• Sizzle Sizzle - egg in a frying pan
• Pip - a goldfish kiss
• Grum Grum - a hippopotamus chewing gum

I can tell you from experience that reading this moo-along together is great silly fun. Proof? The book was one of the best-selling children's books of the 20th century.

In no time your child will be trying to repeat the sounds (between giggles). In fact, the final two pages contain all the sounds in sequence for you and your child to repeat as fast as you can. It goes like this:
