Titles are important!
by: Steve B.

Sarah, thanks for walking us through your decision-making.

You've taken on a great topic - childhood obesity - with your book. (My wife is a dietitian, so she approves too!)

The thing that most strikes me about your website, book and book cover though is that a prospective buyer has to start digging in order to find the purpose and theme! Was it your intent to have a cover that really gives no hint of the subject matter?

Since it's parents who buy kids' books, and since this one has a purpose - it's bibliotherapy - I guess it would be my instinct to try to make that a little more obvious to parents. (While, perhaps, trying to hide the message a little from the kids.)

Just a thought. Amusingly, I had the same reaction to ProSpec Industries. It's another title that - to me at least - doesn't even hint at a relation to publishing!

One last heads up: your home page is in desperate need of a comma! (See the third paragraph. Not having a comma after "Before you put down" actually reverses the meaning of the sentence. A reminder of how important punctuation can be!)
