by Lauren
Tiny Bird is hiding. She doesn't want to go to bed! "Time for sleep," Mama croons. "But I'm not tired!" Tiny says. "You've been flying all day! You must be sleepy soon!" "I'm scared of the dark, Mama! Can you bring me the moon?" "Oh, Tiny," Mama says. "It's much too big for me! What if we get a little light, Just so you can see?" "Alright," Tiny replies, As she climbs into the nest. "But it’s got to be just right.... I only want the best!" "Okay," her mama soothes, As she caught nine fireflies. She set them right before Tiny's bright and open eyes. "Mama, they're great!" she said. "Just enough so I can see!" And she snuggled down to rest: Sleep tight, Tiny!
