This was by Jay Williams. Illustrated by Mercer Mayer.

I learned not to judge people by their appearance. I learned that even if you were small and poor you could still make a big difference.

It is out of print*. I have a copy which cost me about ten times the original price. It's well illustrated and has a great message.

I loved this book.
