I really enjoyed both books.

The '44 ways...' was, for me, the most impressive, simply because you came up with sooooo many ideas based on one simple premise. You're very good at this. I'm green with envy.

I've been writing for 30 years and story construct still causes me agony. I'll never be as light-footed as you, but I certainly got some good pointers out of the books. The stand-out statement for me was: 'The essence of fiction is a main character facing a circumstance that he/she can't bear to have continue.' That's the best summing up of story I've heard.
