Charlotte's Web - a writer's tribute

by Nancy Raines Day

Charlotte's Web

Through this humorous and touching story of a spider and a pig, I learned the importance of being a true friend and a good writer. In fact, I grew up to become a chidren's author, blessed with some terrific lifelong friends.

The page where Charlotte dies in our childhood copy is streaked with tears contributed by me and my three siblings through many readings a piece. To this day, that passage chokes me up, summing up what a life well lived means.

Nancy is a big-time children's book author! (And we thank her for stopping by!!!) See all her books at Nancy Raines Day.
